Your guide will teach you all about the Everglades and accompany you to lunch where you'll get to try alligator!
See manatees, tropical birds, alligators, dolphins and other wildlife on this 3-hour boat tour throughout the Ten Thousand Islands. You'll even get to explore a deserted island called Whitehorse Key to search for shells. This very intimate narrated tour will be a great way to spend a morning or afternoon in Naples. There are never more than 6 passengers on a boat. Special note....Since Hurricane Irma the manatees have been very scattered and unpredictable.
On our boat guided Eco-Tours, we launch from Caxambas Park Marina on the south end of Marco Island.
Take an adventure and sail around the Ten Thousands Islands. Observe manatees, many varieties of tropical birds, alligators and dolphin in their natural habitat. Enjoy a 30-minute stop on a deserted island called Whitehorse Key. Go exploring and shell collecting. Spend about an hour backwater fishing around the islands during the last part of your tour.
Guests meet their guide 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time in front of the launch ramp at the Cocohatchee River Marina at 13535 Vanderbilt Dr, Naples, FL 34110. Your 3 hour adventure will start paddling through the protected mangrove estuaries, back bays and sea shell filled beaches of the surrounding Delnor Wiggins State Park and Barefoot Beach Preserve where various types of shorebirds, manatees and dolphins may be spotted. You'll then enter the majestic and mysterious mangrove tunnels. A waterproof map of the preserve showing you how to get to all the interesting features like the mangrove tunnels and beach is handed out to you before your departure. Paddling routes are easy to navigate and are in the protected backwaters of the mangrove estuary. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. All ages and skill levels welcome. Brief paddling instruction is given prior to departure and guests meet the guide 3 hours later back at the Cocohatchee River Marina where the kayaks will be returned.
This kayak tour jumps off at our exclusive Port of the Islands dock slip located 22 miles Southeast of downtown Naples and 15 miles from Marco Island. These tours provide two very special types of paddling including a 30 minutes paddle throughout the Manatee protection speed zone which surrounds the Manatee packed Faka-union canal. Once guests have found their kayaking rhythm and have had their fill of Manatees, the tour then takes a sharp turn into the numerous mangrove tunnels connected to the canal. Within these tunnels guests can expect to see multiple protected animals species including the American alligator, Roseate Spoonbill and the always curious river otter. This tour is a 2.5 hour tour perfect for beginners and experienced paddles alike. All kayak tours include a 15 minute paddle lesson and all necessary kayaking gear including tandem (2-person) kayaks.
